Blood Donor Criteria:
To maintain the safety of blood donation, the following criteria are observed:

Weight at least 50 kg.

Hemoglobin levels of at least 12.5 g/dL for women and 13.0 g/dL for men.

Normal temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.

No recent vaccinations or living virus exposure.

Successful completion of a physical and health history exam.
Instructions for Blood Donation:
Prior to blood donation, donors are advised:

Not to donate on an empty stomach.

Allow 20-30 minutes after a meal.

Ensure good sleep the night before.

Avoid donation with fever, antibiotic or blood thinner use.

Drink water before donation.
-
Avoid alcohol 14 days before donation.

Refrain from smoking half an hour before donation.
Post-Donation Instructions:
After blood donation, donors are instructed to:

Consume food and drink before leaving.

Stay hydrated for the next 4 hours.

Raise the arm and apply pressure if bleeding occurs.

Lie down or sit with the head between the knees in case of fainting or dizziness.

Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
